Perhaps BPT Should Reevaluate That *Get-A-Pet* Idea
Having a pet often means having in life a kind of unconditional love that is rare even amongst the bestest of best friends. And BPT wants a pet for this and many other reasons. However, the constant traveling, the endemic poverty, and the inability to take care of one’s own life that is so common to the chosen career path of the allegedly ivory-towered Academe means that BPT cannot, in good conscience, bring that burden and happiness into his life.
This video helps BPT stomach that decision!

NASA Johnson Style
I know you’re all pretty tired of Gangnam Style parodies by now, but these folks put people and machines in SPACE, so cut ‘em some slack. Plus it’s pretty damn good, and features a spacesuited NASA gal and a real astronaut doing the horsey dance, which is notable as it will never happen again.
Here’s a biology Gangnam parody, if this isn’t enough for you. And a Bill Nye Gangnam. And a robot doing Gangnam.
Why can’t I stop?!?
Amazeballs.
Reading Rainbow Remixed, In Your Imagination
MelodySheep, who gave us Mister Rogers and Bob Ross remixed, as well as the story of us in one minute, and the breathtaking Symphony of Science series, shows us the journey that lies inside a book, via Geordi, I mean LeVar Burton.
“A book lets you zoom through time and space, but don’t bother packing. You can stay in one place.”
We find relativity within a storybook. This is marvelous.

Damn, I love this. And maps. Just like Levar.
Indie music star Cat Power (Chan Marshall) is known for on-stage breakdowns. What happens when her audience is all children?
I’m easily distracted, too.
